Feeding Projects

We currently feed close to 100 000 mouths a month and are gradually moving towards feeding between 100 000 and 120 000 mouths a month in 6 difference areas: Bloekombos, Wallacedene, Strydenburg, Parrow, Maitland and Denovo. All of which are impoverished areas. Our vision is to provide food to them on a daily basis. (Read More)

Eagles Rest (Hospice) Palliative Care Center

Eagles Rest Hospice is a “palliative care” facility which means that we provide T.L.C to tterminally ill cancer and HIV/Aids patients when they or their families are unable to do so. We operate in the Northern Panorama area and provide in the immediate needs of our patients as well as provide the requisite support for their families to assist them in coping with the illnesses. Eagles Rest (as the facility is known) was awarded as the number one Step Down facility in the Northern Suburbs. It has a bed occupancy rate of 100% and in 2007 alone 275 patients have passed through our hospice doors. From 2004 to Dec 2008 we had 1040 patients that went through this program. (Read More)

House of Safety / Orphanage

We have successfully remodeled a building and established an orphanage and house of safety, where we are taking care of more than six orphans and children at risk, providing them the love they need and a place where they can feel safe. This way we are creating a loving home environment where they can dream and pursue a much brighter future than their past. (Read More)

Lofdal Christian Academy

Lofdal Christian Academy opened its doors for the first time in 1998 with an initial intake of 50 pupils. Today we have 300 learners ranging from Grade “R” to Grade 4. Last year we built five wooden classrooms to accommodate the ever-increasing demand, and as result of the standard of education offered by the Academy we are seeing immense results and many success stories written about our learners and the level of excellence achieved in the area of academics. We are also proud to announce that among our learners are six children who face challenges of a physical nature, and who have not allowed these disabilities to stop them from reaching their dreams. We at the Academy believe that we are investing in the futures of the children who pass through our doors and that amongst them are our future presidents, doctors, lawyers and leaders. “Klein Akker” Community

This new project has been launched under Lofdal Community Projects and is focussing on the restoration of hope and humanity to an devastated, impoverished community of people, in desperate need of help. Currently there are no electricity and just a limited number of taps with fresh water supply. Our heart is to uplift these forgotten people and re-create their current living environment to that of a standard living nature. We also want to start a job creation project on this property to equip these people with basic skill and develop a self sustainable lifestyle. (Read More)

Ruyterwagcht

We came across 13 families living in devastating circumstances in Ruyterwagcht and we want to build 13 temporary houses for them. In the cold and winter season, these families are currently living in wooden constructions consisting out of wooden pallets that has been nailed together. When standing in this construction you can see the outside area and wind blowing right through the material that is used to try and keep the pallets together. We can make a difference! (Read More)

Pomfret Community

In 2008 we were actively involved in the uplifting and restoration of a forgotten community in the Molopo Disctrict called Pomfret. In this community we found a orphanage which we generously supported with financial, nutricional and many other contributions. We restored water back to this community who has been without water for almost 10 years. We identified a large piece of land and created a job creation project where people from the community could work and create fresh produce for themselves. We also found a 8yr old girl who lost her eye do to the need of medical assistance. Moved with compassion we made it our goal to supply her with a prosthetic eye. We could not restore her sight, but we could restore hope and vision for a brighter future. (Read More)

Agricultural Development

Lofdal International has started various agricaultural development projects in the Malopo District with the above mentioned community called Pomfret. We have recently started our own agricultural development project to obtain fresh produce and supply it to our feeding project’s rapid increasing need. In this way we are able to produce more food to feed the multitudes. (Read More)

Annual Christmas Party

Lofdal International is hosting an Annual Christmas party for underprivileged children from the surrounding communities every year. Thousands of children come and receive a gift and refreshments and this is making the joyous Christmas season special for them. (Read More)
